“The Tower of the Old Frankopans” is the work of the employees of the Kindergarten “Cvrčak i mrav” and their external collaborator Frane Živković.
The text was written by Dragana Baričević Crnković and Jasmina Antić, educators of the Bribir part of the kindergarten. The music and arrangement were written by Frano Živković, and sung by Sandra Polić Živković, who, at the time of the song’s creation, was also working as an educator in the Bribir Regional Department.
The song was created as the final part of the project “Frankopani” which was implemented in the group “Cvrčak” in 2020/2021. pedagogical year.
The children of this group are the main actors in the video, which was shot in collaboration with the Art Film from Rijeka, and was created for Petrova in June 2021. The video is a dedication to the city of Bribir and all the Bribir children who grew up with the Frankopan tower!
Just such wonderful activities are what we need, this is nurturing a heritage that has a special value when it comes to children. What could be more beautiful than a creative and educational way to learn and get to know your own region! Well done to the kids, educators and the rest of the team!
