The first participation in PLACE2GO – an international tourism fair with a lot of dear faces, new acquaintances, exchange of experiences, heritage stories and a good atmosphere is behind us! We proudly presented our Routes of the Frankopans and numerous materials and activities created as a result of this great cultural-tourist project. A great attraction, as always, were Zigman’s creations with Frankopan motifs.
The international tourism fair PLACE2GO was held in the Zagreb Arena from April 8 to 10, 2022. The opening ceremony, which was attended by Prefect Zlatko Komadina, began with the performance of the county song “Zavičaju, tebi” sung by our route ambassador Mia Negovetić. The prefect gifted Frankopans cakes DelicaAnas to the Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Croatia Nikolina Brnjac and the director of the Zagreb Tourist Board Martina Bienenfeld. During the B2B (business to business) day, we exchanged numerous information and experiences with all those interested in the Frankopan story of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, and we were happy to tell our Frankopan stories to many visitors.
We are especially glad that the interest in our route was expressed by the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management, University of Rijeka and Vern Polytechnic, whose students were happy to learn about our story, and we hope for future joint projects.
All visitors to our stand could bring with them numerous promotional materials, souvenirs or play a prize game, and we also presented Frankopan wines, Frangipane bread and DeliciAna cake that could be tasted.
Thank you to everyone who visited us in large numbers at the stand and expressed interest for The Routes of the Frankopans! New ideas are emerging, and we invite you all to join us in PGKC and get to know the rich Frankopan heritage of the Krk Island, Vinodol and Gorski Kotar through contemporary interpretation.
As a real sugar at the end, the draw of the winners of the Frankopan prize game took place, in which we awarded the lucky winner with a DeliciAna cake! Congratulations!
