With the arrival of sunnier and warmer weather, there are more and more weekend activities related to excursions and walks, as part of which a certain cultural or natural heritage in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County is visited. Fortunately, there are always local enthusiasts and heritage lovers who work hard to design programs so that the residents of the area get to know their environment, and beyond, better.
Diversity of offer, richness of heritage, good connection and proximity of content, are just some of the advantages of organizing such programs in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County.
Throughout the second half of May, our new interpretation centres slowly began to receive their first visitors. The Tourist Board of the Vinodol Municipality is conducting a cycle of interpretive walks in the area of Vinodol called “The walking path of our ancestors” (“Hodeć puten naših starih”). One of the walks, held on May 22, 2021, was held in Bribir. The participants of the walk also visited the Turan Tower, where the new Interpretation Centre Bribir is located, where they got acquainted with the topic of human rights protection and the criminal law system in the Frankopan era. The group was led by Mrs. Marijana Mužević, a certified interpretive guide.
On the last weekend of the month, May 30, 2021, another beautiful Frankopan activity took place, this time under the leadership of Mr. Goran Moravček, a licensed tourist guide and founder of the Facebook group “Travel, Excursions and Walks” (“Putovanja, izleti i šetnje”). As part of the program, the participants also visited the newly renovated Nova Kraljevica Castle, its new environment, the Interpretation Centre Kraljevica with the theme of the Zrinski-Frankopan Conspiracy and the Visitor Centre Kraljevica, which interprets the cultural-tourist route in its entirety. In the space of the multimedia hall, they also watched a film about all the new interpretation centers called “Treasures of Frankopan Heritage”.

And finally, the Interpretation Centre Bakar got its first sweetest visitors, and these are the youngest ones who are always cheerfully and curiously exploring our interesting multimedia content.
