These days, students from four European countries – Greece, Turkey, Lithuania and Italy (unfortunately without Spain) are staying in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County as part of the Erasmus+ project “Art and Literature in the Tissue of Education! Is it A.Li.E.N.?” for which we organized a trip along The Routes of the Frankopans.
They spent a wonderful sunny day visiting Frankopan sites – Grobnik Castle, Castle in Bakar, Nova Kraljevica Castle and finally Castle in Krk and related interpretation centres through which they learned about the importance of the Frankopan family in PGKC and Croatian history in general.
In Kraljevica, the students were greeted by Sonja Šišić, Head of the Department for Culture, Sports and Technical Culture of PGKC, who expressed great satisfaction that students are staying in our region and have a chance to get to know the valuable Frankopan heritage. We also gifted the coordinators of all European schools with the Routes of the Frankopans photomonography.
The host of the visit is the Elementary School Podmurvice Rijeka, which is also participating in this beautiful European project for young people.
