Today, in Grobnik Castle, a presentation of photomonography “The Routes of the Frankopans” and medieval costumes for the associations which are preserving Frankopan heritage was held.
The photomonography was presented by the author of the introductory text Velid Đekić and the author of the photographs Petar Fabijan, while the medieval costumes were presented by the president of Zlatni konac association from Vukovar Branimir Radić Bilin, the association which has made all the costumes and equipment. Goran Mavrinac, president of the Praesidio Frangipanis Association, also said a few words to the participants.
Medieval costumes were procured for project partners Municipality of Čavle, Vinodol Municipality and Rijeka Tourist Board, and are proudly worn by the members of associations operating in the area: the Praesidio Frangipanis – Frankopan Guard Grobnik Association, Zrinski-Frankopani Drivenik, the Trsat City Friends Club and Ordo Sancti Viti.
Upon completion of the program, one of the associations has performed a medieval Menuet dance, and everyone present could have walked to the nearby tower of the castle and see the furniture that was made for the Praesidio Frangipanis Association.
The event was hosted by the Municipality of Čavle with the organization of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County.
All of the above was procured as part of the project Cultural-tourist route The Routes of the Frankopans which is implemented by Primorje-Gorski Kotar County in cooperation with 12 other partners.
