Today, on The Routes of the Frankopans, we hosted a group of the 4th grade students from the Podmurvice Elementary School Rijeka, who together with a teacher and a librarian visited two Frankopan locations – Castle in Bakar and Nova Kraljevica Castle.
The educational walk began in Bakar, where, with the guidance of the Tourist Board of the City of Bakar, they had the opportunity to visit the Turkish House, the Roman House, the Church of St. Andrija and the catacombs, and at the end they got acquainted with the Bakar Castle and the new Interpretation Centre Bakar.
After a walk in Bakar, the students visited Nova Kraljevica Castle where they learned about the story of the Castle, walked around it enjoying the new environment, and then visited the Kraljevica Visitor and Interpretation Centre with the theme of the Zrinski-Frankopan Conspiracy.
At the end of the gathering, they enjoyed the contents of the Multimedia Hall Kraljevica, where they watched the film “Treasures of Frankopan Heritage” and played “The Game of Frankopans”, and we were honored with the performance of two short plays.
We thank Podmurvice Rijeka Elementary School for this beautiful Frankopan activity, and we invite other schools to join us on The Routes of the Frankopans!
