Cultural-Tourist Route The Routes of the Frankopans of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County and the Maritime and History Museum of the Croatian Littoral Rijeka have implemented new activity for children – the Frankopan treasure hunt called “BLAGO [nama] U GUVERU!
Do you know what gamification is? It is a term that implies the use of elements of the game in a context unrelated to the game and today is a very common and increasingly popular method of heritage interpretation.
In the treasure hunt game, team members follow interconnected clues (messages / puzzles) and eventually come to the treasure. The aim of this game is to connect the Frankopan content of the Museum (the exhibition “Meet the Frankopans” and the permanent museum exhibition related to Trsat and Laval Nugent) through the popularization of historical themes and the creation of educational and entertaining activities for children.
We have held two games with the students of the upper grades of the Podmurvice Elementary School Rijeka. Teams of creative names tried to solve riddles and finally found a box with Trsat treasure in which were their prizes, i.e. the materials of the project The Routes of the Frankopans and Museum.
