The anniversary will be marked through a multitude of cultural, scientific, entertainment and sport events. "A Walk through History" is an event designed to promote old town center of Bakar and its cultural and historical monuments and rich history in an intriguing way.Various organizations and individuals of the region present a part of rich history through presentations, workshops, tasting of products, exhibitions and music programs. Visit Bakar and walk through the old town. Learn a little about the rich history of the ancient city of Bakar. Join us on a journey through history and get acquainted with the Frankopan Castle. Guided sightseeing tour are organized at 18:00 h, starting from the Castle (Kastel). Experience Bakar in a different way by "walking" through the rich history of this ancient city!
The monograph "The Routes of the Frankopans" will sum up all of the knowingess about the Frankopan family, including the Medieval and Early modern period life findings, from a perspective of the experts coming from different scientific areas: history, linguistics, literature, archeology, law, maritime Affairs, natural sciences, music and etnography. The promotion will be held on the 31st October 2018 at 11:00 h at the Marble Hall within the Maritime and History Museum of the Croatian Littoral Rijeka in Rijeka.
The Nikola Šubić Zrinski opera by Ivan pl. Zajc is one of the most popular and most played pieces of our music scene. Under the guidance of Ville Matvejeff, directed by Dora Ruždjak Podolski and performed by the ensemble of the Croatian National Theater Ivan pl. Zajc, this musical drama will have a premiere in October in Rijeka. It is interesting that Zajcs opera is conducted by one foreign conductor. National Champion of HNK I. pl. Zajca Giorgio Surian will play Zrinski, and the role of his wife Eve will be sung by the HNK I. pl. Zajc talented, Kristina Kolar. Starts at 19:30.
